*685,000 Americans died in a two year period from March of 1918 to the Spring of 1919 from the Spanish Flu. How many Americans in a two year period begining in December 2019 until Winter 2021will die as a result of COVID-19? As we approach 600,000 deaths and haven't reached summer of 2021, looks we will surpass the death toll of 100 years ago! Did we actually learn anything from the lessons of the past, if so how was it applied? What affect did the governments decisions have and how did it impact the community then and now?
